Homesickness:

Most college students experience homesickness. Be sure to make calls home and schedule regular visits home. Making good friends will also help. 

Handling Stress:

  • Get help if you are having problems with stress, anxiety, or depression

Living With Roommates:

  • Meet your roommate before classes start
  • Set aside a study time
  • Have a system for taking messages
  • Respect each other’s privacy and property
  • Have an agreement concerning overnight guests
  • Respect your roommate’s need for sleep
  • Schedule study times
  • Reach an agreement concerning use of television, radio, and telephone late at night and during study times
  • Each person should have their own personal space

  • Engage in a sport or athletic activity
